Miles Photo of the Week: Performing At NYC’s Plaza Hotel

Miles playing New York City’s Plaza Hotel in 1958 with his fabled sextet — John Coltrane (tenor sax), Julian “Cannonball” Adderley (alto sax), Bill Evans (piano), Paul Chambers (bass) and Jimmy Cobb (drums). The concert was recorded unbeknownst to the musicians and Miles’ “Jazz At The Plaza” performance would later be released as a live album in 1973 and then again on CD in the early 1990s.
