Miles Davis Properties, LLC Reps’ Erin Davis (Son Of Miles Davis) And Vince Wilburn, Jr. (Nephew Of Miles) Meet Up With Tubes’ Frontman Fee Waybill & Todd Rundgren Backstage At 2010 Pollstar Awards

(LOS ANGELES) – Miles Davis Properties, LLC reps Erin Davis (son of Miles Davis) Vince Wilburn, Jr. (nephew of Miles) meet up with Tubes frontman Fee Waybill and producer/musician Todd Rundgren backstage at the 2010 POLLSTAR AWARDS. Davis and Wilburn, Jr. were on hand to present “Facility Executive of the Year” and “Most Creative Tour Package.”

Davis and Wilburn, Jr. will launch the 40th Anniversary of seminal electric period recording Bitches Brew at SXSW with a tribute panel on Thursday, March 18 between 2 p.m. – 3 p.m., featuring iconic drummer Lenny White, among others. Wilburn, Jr. and Davis will also roll-out the new Miles Davis Tribute Headphones by Monster Cable (Dr. Dre’s “Beats”) following the panel, at a special event that includes music performances between 4 p.m. – 5 p.m.

This April marks the launch of the WE WANT MILES art exhibit in Montreal after an extremely well received run at Cite de la Musique in Paris. The extensive multimedia exhibition illuminates the life and music of Miles Davis, covering the full span of his artistic life.

2009 concluded with the House of Representatives passing Resolution 894 with 100% support to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of landmark recording – Kind of Blue. The Kind of Blue 50th Anniversary Collectors Edition boxed-set also won a GRAMMY for “Best Liner Notes” by acclaimed journalist Francis Davis earlier in the year.
