On Friday, May 28th at 5PM PT, SFJAZZ concludes their month-long Miles Davis Celebration with Miles Electric, an all-star group of musicians and Miles Davis alumni performing music from Davis’ groundbreaking fusion-era recordings. Led by the legendary trumpeter’s nephew and drummer Vince Wilburn, the superb band features bassist Darryl Jones, keyboardist Robert Irving III, guitarist and Parliament/Funkadelic icon DeWayne “Blackbyrd” McKnight, trumpeter and former SFJAZZ Collective member Sean Jones, saxophonist Antoine Roney, keyboardist Greg Spero, percussionists Munyungo Jackson, Abbos Kosimov, and Debashish Chaudhuri, and electronic musician Jeremy Ellis.
