The Capitol Theatre presents Miles Electric Band, a progressive all-star ensemble featuring Miles Davis alumni on Friday, November 17 at 8 pm. Tickets go on sale Saturday, August 26 at 10 am.

Miles Electric Band members performing include Etienne Charles, trumpet; Antoine Roney, tenor & soprano sax, bass clarinet; David Gilmore, guitar; Vince Wilburn, Jr. drums; Dwayne Mono Neon Thomas, Jr., bass; Debashish Chaudhuri, tabla; Robert Irving III, keyboards; Munyungo Jackson, congas & percussion.

Regarding their Hollywood Bowl performance, Daily Variety remarked, ”Everyone rocked and socked, and it wasn’t nostalgic in the least.” The Los Angeles Times shared “The Miles Electric Band quickly pumped up a party vibe” noting the “festival friendly” material of Miles Davis’ electric period.

Reserved tickets priced at $55, $45 and $35 will be available at the Ruth Eckerd Hall Ticket Office located at 1111 McMullen Booth Road in Clearwater or by calling 727.791.7400. The Ruth Eckerd Hall Ticket Office is open Monday through Saturday, from 10 am to 6 pm and one hour prior to show time. Patrons may also purchase tickets at www.AtTheCap.com 24/7.

The Capitol Theatre, located in downtown Clearwater’s Cleveland Street District, was constructed in 1921 and is one of Florida’s oldest operating theaters. In 2016, industry trade publication Pollstar named the Capitol Theatre the #42 club venue in the world and within that same ranking, the only Florida venue in the Top 50. In 2013, the theater underwent a complete $10 million renovation and is the catalyst for downtown development.
