WHAT: “A Day In The Life Of Miles Davis” by Glen Craig. The never-before-seen work documents Miles Davis‘s seminal 1970’s era, which has captivated critics and fans, as stunning visuals tell the story for a cadre of current landmark recording packages. These images are featured in the album packaging for Miles At The Fillmore – Miles Davis 1970: The Bootleg Series Vol. 3, one of the most popular and well-received jazz releases of 2014. This album has been named 2014’s Top Historical Album in the 62nd Annual Down Beat Critics Poll. Davis has won this honor for the third year in a row.

COMMENTS: 2014 marked a banner year for Miles, who continues to receive accolades, critical respect, fan appreciation and impressive record and merchandise sales, decades after his passing. The globally renowned music icon was honored by the city of New York with the street re-naming of West 77th Street to Miles Davis Way, with a dedication that included an official Block Party on his birthday (May 26). Additionally, the much anticipated Miles Davis film was launched with an Indiegogo campaign led by Don Cheadle, with filming of “Miles Ahead” completed in Davis’ home state of St. Louis. Meanwhile, his landmark recording Kind Of Blue remains the best-selling jazz record ever, and is now also a vinyl best-seller.
Glen Craig is currently garnering accolades from such esteemed popular culture publications as Mojo, Rolling Stone (German edition), Esquire, the Boston Globe, and the Los Angeles Times for his photos featured in exquisite boxed sets dedicated to Miles Davis’s groundbreaking 1970 Fillmore East concerts period.
