The annual Principal For A Day event is a highly anticipated tradition that provides an opportunity for members of Chicago’s business and civic communities to visit the city’s public school system and interact with students, teachers and principals to learn more about their accomplishments and challenges. It is a critical part of the Chicago Public School System’s (CPS) effort to continue developing ongoing partnerships for every public school in Chicago, via the renewed commitment of volunteers, materials and financial resources to support the 600 CPS schools.
This year’s Principal For A Day will feature a tribute to the Mayor and his vision for the program which has benefited hundreds of CPS schools over the years.
The Principal For A Day format this year also allows for a broader interaction taking place virtually the entire school day.
