The Rock NYC ‘CBGB’s Artist Spotlight’ With Vince Wilburn, Jr., From Miles Davis Estate

Vince Wilburn, Jr., nephew of late jazz icon Miles Davis, oversees Miles Davis Properties, LLC, along with Erin Davis (son of Miles) and Cheryl Davis (daughter of Miles). …He will be part of CBGB’s Talks with Miles Davis Estate and host Alan Light. It takes place on Friday, October 10 from 7 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Helen Mills Theatre.

What does the spirit of CBGBs mean to you?

CBGB’s in some instances is the birth place of the NY rock and punk scene. CBGB’s stands for visionary evolution. Pushing the boundaries of music, art and culture. As did Sir Miles Dewey Davis.

What would you like future generations to take away from his music?

To never be afraid to explore.
