Miles Davis House At Dim Mak Studios Celebrates Miles Davis

MILES DAVIS HOUSE ROLLED OUT AT DIM MAK STUDIOS ON SEPTEMBER 28, CELEBRATING THE LIFE, MUSIC, ART, VISION AND GLOBAL INFLUENCE OF MUSIC ICON MILES DAVIS ON THE DATE OF HIS PASSING

(Hollywood, CA) — The inaugural Miles Davis House – Los Angeles – rolled out at Dim Mak Studios on September 28 to celebrate the life, music, art, vision and global influence of music icon Miles Davis on the date of his passing. A wide cross section of multi-genre bands performed in the spirit of Miles, including critically acclaimed trumpeter Gabriel Johnson, who makes his Tonight Show debut October 10 with Placido Domingo, GRAMMY-winning songwriting team David & Devine, Rock & Soul powerhouse Alexandra & The Starlight Band, and cross-genre, experimental multi-instrumentalist Steven Roth. DJ Clifton and Miles Tackett (Breakestra) kept things flowing with their Funky Sole dance mix. The evening was hosted by Erin Davis (son of Miles) and Vince Wilburn, Jr. (nephew of Miles) who kicked off the evening with his “Five For Miles” quintet.

Miles Davis House first launched in Austin at SXSW earlier this year (2012) and is expected to return in 2013.
